Donate food

Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support.

Rutherglen and Cambuslang Foodbank relies heavily on food donations from the public. These donations help us provide balanced and nutritious three-day food supplies to those in need. In 2022-2023 we were able to help 7,233 people; 5,007 adults and 2,226 children

Our shopping list on the right shows the food items that we need right now. Please note that we don’t take fresh produce, alcohol, or cigarettes. We also use the BankTheFood app to keep you updated on the items we are running low on. It’s a great app you only need to download it and select Rutherglen & Cambuslang as your preferred Foodbank. You can also activate notifications which means you’ll get a reminder when you visit the supermarket, so you never forget to donate.

If you are happy to drop off food donations, please see the table below for our food collection point locations:

The shutter door straight ahead is ours, and there is a doorbell to the left of it. If you have any questions, please get in touch with the Foodbank Manager on 07393 737030, or by clicking here.

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally, we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work, particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever they are in the UK.

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
