Give the Gift of Food this Christmas !

Christmas is a difficult time for everyone – organising festive activities and managing bigger bills than normal. Could you help someone this Christmas who is facing food poverty and struggling to feed their family?

• Do you have a secret Santa to buy for?
• Or someone who has everything and you are struggling for a present idea?
• Maybe you are a community group who would like to make a heartfelt donation instead of exchanging gifts/cards with each other.

Gift A Meal is one of Rutherglen & Cambuslang Foodbanks Christmas campaigns, which helps those in need in your community. You can donate an individual person’s food parcel with 3 days of food for £15 or a parcel for two people for £20 or push the boat out and provide 3 days of food for a family in your community for £30. These parcels have additional basics – toilet rolls and soap.

If we have been donated items, we try to provide cleaning products and basic toiletries on top of our food parcels however this is dependent on donated stock. If you would like to add a little extra, we have hygiene packages to provide these items for an additional £5.50.

Christmas is the season of hope, generosity and goodwill. If you would like to give this gift within your local community then visit our Gift A Meal page or click the pictures in this article to donate online and we will send you a gift certificate that you can provide as a present or for your group noticeboard.

Best wishes,

Rutherglen & Cambuslang Foodbank
