Community Warmth at the Foodbank

Lanarkshire Rotary Clubs have been running their Wrap Up Lanarkshire campaign in partnership with Hands on London for several years now and we are thankful that they have again this year helped the Rutherglen & Cambuslang Foodbank provide warm jackets/coats to our Foodbank attendees. Autumn is definitely here and winter is fast approaching – it is getting colder outside and extra layers of warmth make such a difference. The Rotary club collected approximately 500 garments this year from 4 church collection points; all items are inspected then distributed via local community groups. Thanks to the Rutherglen Rotary Club we have been able to offer warm jackets over the last few sessions – what a warm hug from your local community!!!
